For three years she was Marina Cooper in the soap opera Guiding Light the role that brought her the Soap Opera Digest Awards nomination in 2003 for the award of Outstanding Newcomer. Between 2007 and 2008 Dollar starred as Cindy Thomas on the ABC television series Women's Murder Club. She also portrayed Happy Valley in the 2012 NBC pilot, but it did not get picked up.
